Maťo Homola continued with his winning streak on Saturdays this season, securing his fourth victory at the TCR Eastern Europe round at Autodrom Most. The dominance of the Hyundai Janík Motorsport team was emphasised by Adam Kout, who finished second. René Kircher from Mertel Motorsport joined them on the podium.

Homola was slightly hit by Giacomo Ghermandi after the start, causing him to go straight at the first corner chicane, while Ghermandi, Kout, and the rest of the field navigated through it.

Davit Kajaia retired a couple of corners later with a broken right rear wheel, while local driver Petr Čižek moved through the field after a disappointing qualifying.

Kout passed Ghermandi on the second lap, making it a 1-2 for Hyundai Janík Motorsport as Homola led the race. René Kircher held third place with his Honda, championship contender Attila Bucsi was fourth, Ghermandi was fifth after slight contact with Homola, and Petr Čížek rounded out the top six.

Kout began to chase Homola, closing the gap to within one second. A similar situation developed in the battle for third place, with Kircher defending his position against Bucsi.

Ghermandi then dropped further down the field, resulting in the top five positions being Homola, Kout, Kircher, Bucsi and Čížek. Žarko Knego was in sixth place, followed by Ivars Vallers, Jiří Zbožínek, Vít Smejkal and Giacomo Ghermandi in tenth.

The race remained calm until the finish, with the drivers crossing the line as they were. Maťo Homola, driving a Hyundai Elantra, won his fourth race of the season. Adam Kout finished on the podium again, and for the second time in 2024, we saw Kircher from Mertel Motorsport on the podium. Attila Bucsi finished fourth with his Hyundai i30 N TCR from M1RA Motorsport.

Čížek from Auto Expres Racing Team held off pressure from Žarko Knego to secure fifth place, with Knego and his Hyundai Elantra in sixth. The order behind them was Jiří Zbožínek, Ivars Vallers, Vít Smejkal, and Jorden Dolischka in tenth, who will start from pole position tomorrow in the reversed order of the top ten positions.
