This year’s ESET TCR champion Milovan Vesnič has been named as the best sportsman of Užice town in Serbia.
Milovan Vesnič had a very successful season this year. The Serbian driver managed to win the first-ever TCR category championship using the Cupra León car. And the 43-year-old has been now also awarded for his victory – he was named as the best sportsman of Užice town, his hometown, where he also won the award several times before.
“Of course this award means a lot to me. Užice is a town with many great sportsmen who compete in so many various disciplines and even in the Serbian national teams. And to be amongst the best of the best is a huge honour. It’s also a great motivation to become even better in the following years,” said a winner of 4 races in the ESET TCR series this year.
It comes as no surprise that Vesnič should continue in the TCR category in 2020 as well. But his journey to defend his championship crown won’t be easy, as he is going to be challenged by talented “young guns” again including Jáchym Galáš and Dušan Kouřil jr. But this category is also going to introduce some fresh faces, maybe even including a winner of the two previous Renault Clio Cup championships, Michal Makeš.
