Jáchym Galáš has had a successful qualifying and he will take part in the opening round of the eSports WTCR championship at Hungaroring.
While the current coronavirus pandemic is preventing championships from starting their seasons, there are still some other opportunities how to race, like esports and virtual racing.
One of the series that is going this way is also a WTCR, which is putting together a four-round esports championship, that also allows fans to join and fight with 10 real WTCR racing drivers, like Mikel Azcona, Kevin Ceccon, Yann Ehrlacher, Luca Engstler, Néstor Girolami, Esteban Guerrieri, Maťo Homola, Niels Langeveld, Tiago Monteiro or a current champion Norbert Michelisz.

The first round of the esports season is scheduled for Monday, April 6 at Hungaroring circuit. And there will be also one driver from our championship as Jáchym Galáš is one of the 92 qualified entrants.
While the GT2 Motorsport driver did not manage to finish in the TOP 20 to face the real WTCR drivers, he was 83rd fastest amongst 5,505 participants and he is joining the race in server 4.
Michal Makeš, who is preparing for his debut season in our championship together with Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra, also tried his luck but he finished only on 100th place. He was just 0.056s slower than the driver on 92nd position, which was the last advancing spot. However, he has the speed and he can try his luck for the next round at Slovakia Ring.

The 2nd round will take place on April 20, with qualifying taking place from March 31 to April 14.
