The experienced Serbian driver Dušan Borkovič will compete the full 2020 TCR Eastern Europe season. The 2015 ETCC champion will defend the colors of M1RA Racing.
The list of candidates for the championship title is longer now. Dušan Borkovič, one of the resounding names in touring car racing, announced his arrival to our series. The experienced Serbian driver, who won the title of European champion in 2015 and also started in WTCC in the past, will race for M1RA Racing with Hyundai i30 N TCR.
The Hungarian team is also known term in this motorsport discipline. This squad was founded by race engineer Dávid Bári and current WTCR champion Norbert Michelisz. We could see them in TCR Europe last two seasons. But they achieved probably the biggest success in 2017, when they won team standings in TCR International Series. They also did one WTCR start in 2018.

„In these circumstances, the choice of the championship was, among other things, mostly conditioned by the proximity of my home and the realistic possibility to reach the tracks without additional complications. This is a situation that none of us has found ourselves in so far and it took time to understand what is happening to us and to adjust our lives to these new circumstances. The most important thing for me is that I don’t have a competitive break this year, and again not to endanger the health of myself, my team or my loved ones,“ said Borković.
The 35-years old driver spent last two seasons in TCR Europe. In 2018, he finished third in overall standings.
