The final TCR Eastern Europe Simracing round at Automotodrom Brno was dominated by Bartlomiej Mirecki. The Polish driver won both races.

On Tuesday, August 11, the first season of the virtual TCR Eastern Europe Simracing championship culminated with the final round at Automotodrom Brno. And although Bartosz Groszek secured the championship title already during the previous round at Slovakia Ring, there was still something to play in the Czech event, especially the title of vice-champion.

It was Tomáš Korený who was closest to the overall silver before the start of the event. He was on the second place with 191 points. But the mathematical chance to the title of vice-champion still had also the third Keijo Keke Platzer (183 points), the fourth Miklas Born (160 points), the fifth Bartlomiej Mirecki (160 points), the sixth Constantin Kletzer (155 points), the seventh Balint Hatvani (148 points) and the eighth Gabriela Jílková (127 points).

In the qualifying, Mirecki reached the third pole position of the season. The champion Groszek finished on the second place. The third fastest time of this session was set by Korený. Jáchym Galáš was fourth and Platzer was fifth.

In Race 1, Mirecki and Groszek were the main protagonists again. They drove close together throughout the race. But we didn’t see any overtaking maneuver in their battle and Mirecki took the third victory of the season.

The holder of the third place was also the same as in qualifying – Tomáš Korený. The Czech driver was the best among the juniors.

The only woman in the starting field Gabriela Jílková showed another great performance and finished on the fourth place. Jáchym Galáš was fifth.

After reversing TOP 12 from Race 1, Stefan Tanner started from pole position in Race 2. Lukasz Stolarczyk was second and Constantin Kletzer was third. Bartosz Groszek began on the 11th place and Bartlomiej Mirecki on the 12th place.

It was Constantin Kletzer, who had the best getaway from the grid and took the lead in the opening meters. However, he collided with the another successful starter Tomáš Pekař and Stefan Tanner returned to the first place.

But we saw another change in the lead already during Lap 1. Miklas Born passed Tanner. But in the end, he wasn’t able to achieve the victory. In Lap 10, he was beaten by Bartlomiej Mirecki. The BM Racing Team driver shone with another great chase and won also in Race 2. Born had to settle with the second place as the highest placed junior driver.

The TOP 3 was completed by Tomáš Korený who tried to pass Born in last meters. But he left the track during his attempt. The Czech driver crossed the line on the third place just ahead of the champion Bartosz Groszek who finished the season on the fourth place. Tomáš Pekař was fifth.

Mirecki won the battle for the vice-champion title. The Polish driver achieved this success despite that he joined TCR Eastern Europe Simracing from the third round at Grobnik. Tomáš Korený finished on the overall third place and became the junior champion at the same time.
