Nemanja Milovanovič was one of the successful rookies of the opening round of the season at Grobnik. The GM Racing Team driver managed to get two points for a 9th place finish in the first race of the weekend. And the Serbian driver has revealed that he might return into the series later.
Nemanja, Grobnik has marked your TCR Eastern Europe series debut. You managed to get 2 points for 9th place finish in the first race. How did you enjoy that?
Yes, I took two points, which needs to be complimented! First, it must be said that I and my team are rookies. And then, there are so many good other teams and drivers. And there are also so many problems around and we’re just not ready for the TCR championship.
Are we going to see you in the upcoming rounds at Slovakia Ring, Brno and Hungaroring? If so, what are your goals? If not, what are you going to do for the rest of the season?
As our car took a lot of damage at Grobnik, due to the carelessness of other drivers who don’t look into the mirrors, there’s a question whether everything will be ready. Our goal was to defend our TC-3500 category championship title in the FIA CEZ series, but we still don’t know. In Grobnik, we had some help from Mr. Křenek, so that was nice. However, we definitely made a huge risk by not buying any wet tyres, because of our tight budget. I still don’t know where I’m going to race, but it’s going to be either the FIA CEZ or the TCR Eastern Europe series.
Do you have any long-term career goals? Is there any series where you would like to race one day?
I’m very humble. My plan and my dream have always been the FIA CEZ championship title, which I’ve managed to win last year. Also, I’ve finished 2nd in the TC-3500 category in ESET Cup. But if we want to take a look at cars that I’d like to race, it would be TCR or GT cars.
