The TCR Eastern Europe series continues with Round 2 at Slovakia Ring this weekend. And it is set to offer a great show.
Less than a month after the opening round of the season at Grobnik, Croatia, the TCR Eastern Europe series returns this weekend. Slovakia Ring is going to offer two races, the first one on Saturday and the second one on Sunday.
Dušan Borkovič heads to Slovakia as the current championship leader. The Serbian driver, who has experience from series like WTCC or TCR Europe, dominated in Croatia, winning both races and he has the maximum amount of 50 points. But the M1RA driver is going to face some serious competition and it will not be easy for him and his Hyundai i30 N TCR car.
We should not forget about a Zengő Motorsport driver, Bence Boldizs. The Hungarian driver is using this series to prepare for his WTCR season and in the opening round of the season in Croatia, he managed to finish in 4th and 5th positions.
And nobody should rule out also junior drivers like Jáchym Galáš, Dušan Kouřil jr., Szymon Ladniak, Michal Makeš or Szymon Jablonski. Galáš with Kouřil jr. showed their skills at Slovakia Ring last year when they took two podium finishes. And Kouřil jr. even took his first win in the series there.

But there will also be some fresh faces, who did not race at Grobnik. The fifth man of last season Jakub Wyszomirski and Rene Martinek are returning the series. And an Austrian driver Sandro Soubek, who has previous experience with Renault Clio cars, is preparing for his TCR Eastern Europe debut.
Unfortunately, we will most likely not see all the drivers who raced at Grobnik. Entry into Slovakia is difficult due to coronavirus measures. The newcomers have to complete a five-day quarantine and then show a negative test for COVID-19. This obstacle is likely to will prevent the participation of the reigning champion Milovan Vesnič, Igor Stefanovski, Nemanja Milovanovič and Rudolf Pešovič. The latter planned to return to our series at Slovakia Ring.
In addition to the mentioned names, we will also see other excellent drivers. You will again be able to watch how they will do on the Slovak track via a live broadcast on YouTube, which will be provided by Kreator TV.
