Bartosz Groszek makes his debut in TCR Eastern Europe this weekend. He set the eight fastest time in qualifying. Despite that, he wasn´t entirely happy.
We can find one new face in starting list of Poznan round. It is Bartosz Groszek. The Polish driver, who became the 2020 virtual TCR Eastern Europe champion, starts for Horňák-Aditis team with support of ESET Race Star project. And he managed to achieve TOP 10 result in qualifying. He set the eight fastest time. But he hoped for better result.
„The goal was to start from third row at most. But unfortunately, a few thousandths were missing. So I´m not entirely satisfied because the intended goal hasn´t been achieved. After all, it is a good position to start and I hope that tomorrow we will be able to quickly advance a few positions,“ says Groszek.
He wants to finish amongst top five drivers in Race 1. He hopes it will rain: „The target for Race 1 is TOP 5. Everything will depend on what the weather will be like. The weather is changing throughout the weekend and the weather forecasts indicate that it will rain at the moment. I´m happy with that because I feel good on this track in the rain.“
