Petr Semerád – Hyundai i30N TCR (Hyundai / Janík Motorsport) – 1st place
It couldn’t be better. The start was the key to success, as we managed to solve the issue with the car and its starting procedure. So I had a slightly better start than Petr Čížek and then was able to control my position. Then there was the safety car, which caused a bit of confusion for me because I was told that he was going to the pits, but the lights on the safety car were still on… But somehow, I had a good restart and, after some short-lived pressure from Bartosz, I created a gap between him and myself, and that was it. The car worked well from start to finish, although the hot conditions were a bit of a punishment for the brakes, tyres, and, mainly, the engine.
Bartosz Groszek – Audi RS3 LMS TCR (ADITIS Racing) – 2nd place
I’m happy with second place. I had a good start and moved into third position, then, after the second corner, I passed Petr Čížek and began to catch up to Petr Semerád before the safety car [was sent out]. I had a great restart after the safety car [left the track] and then had a small fight in the first corner, where I went to the inside. Petr closed the door and pushed me onto the grass, but overall, I’m very happy with the results.
Petr Čížek – Cupra León Competición TCR (Fullinrace Academy) – 3rd place
I’m happy with the results. I had a good start and I must say, I had no chance to fight with the first two. Bartosz tried to pass me in the first turn after the start, so I left him a bit of room so that they could fight for the win and so that I could drive in third place to the finish. Fortunately, I managed to keep my position after the safety car restart. Then it was a bit of a lonely race for me, which is even harder for a driver, as he could lose his focus.
