Maťo Homola – Hyundai Elantra N TCR (Hyundai / Janík Motorsport) – 1st place
A lot of cars were in front of me at the start, but I’m used to that from TCR Europe. I had a good start and gained a lot of positions. I was a bit cautious with Václav Janík, as he is my teammate and team owner, so I didn’t want to risk too much. I waited for the right opportunity to pass him. Then I tried to test the pace of the car and find the ideal rhythm, as we are going to Nürburgring next weekend. Overall, I’m really happy about the two wins at Slovakia Ring in front of my home crowd.
Petr Semerád – Hyundai Elantra N TCR (Hyundai / Janík Motorsport) – 2nd place
I think Bartosz fights with too much aggression. There were many contacts made between us, even when passing him, and I ended up with bent steering as a result. However, it was a nice race for me, more eventful and thrilling than yesterday. Also, I moved into the lead of the championship, so I’m happy about that and I’m looking forward to the season finale at Most, as I know the circuit very well and I hope it will be an advantage for me.
Petr Čížek – Cupra León Competición TCR (Fullinrace Academy) – 4th place
I was pushing Groszek and lost downforce, so my car went off the track for a moment, but even though some pieces of the bodywork flew into the air, it didn’t unbalance the car and everything was fine. I think I had a nice battle with Václav Janík. We are two gentlemen drivers and, although it was a door-to-door fight with some contacts, I think it was fair and square. This is touring car racing and these kinds of contacts are typical in it.
