Petr Fulín – Cupra León Competición TCR (Fullinrace Academy) – 1st place
I wanted to enjoy the race. Who knows when I will be racing again, so I went for it. I drove at maximum speed until three or four laps to the finish. I didn’t like the sound and behaviour of the car, as we’d had issues with the differential and the gearbox. So I slowed down a bit and didn’t hit the apexes. I knew I could afford it, as I had a solid gap. I’m very happy with the results and Petr Čížek’s second place. Let’s see how the second race will turn out.
Petr Čížek – Cupra León Competición TCR (Fullinrace Academy) – 2nd place
We all had a good start and I followed Sebastian Steibel into the first chicane. I was waiting and waiting for an opportunity to pass him. I was studying him, watching where he was slower and just waiting for him to make a mistake. Sebastian made a slight mistake while exiting the last corner and I prepared for the pass in the chicane. I successfully overtook him and then it was all about keeping up the pace and finishing second behind Petr Fulín.
Petr Semerád – Hyundai i30N TCR (Hyundai Janík Motorsport) – 3rd place
The race was hard. We completed repairs on the car just two minutes before the opening of the pitlane. I have also had an issue with the brakes since Red Bull Ring. I can’t stop the car effectively, so I went into a gravel trap during the race. When I tried to overtake Bartosz in the first chicane, he went outside and I took the inside and kept the throttle down, so he would not be able to close the doors. But he closed the doors eventually and I was already there. The contact was inevitable. It wasn’t my intention and I’m sorry about it because, as I said before, I wanted a clean fight.
