This year’s runner-up Petr Semerád was supposed to participate in the FIA Motorsport Games in the Touring Car discipline at Paul Ricard next weekend. Unfortunately, he will be staying at home with a torn ligament.
Semerád and the Janík Motorsport team were looking forward to a new challenge with their Hyundai TCR car, but they had to cancel the journey to the south of France due to Semerád’s injury.
“I play football every Sunday with my friends, but unfortunately, I tripped and landed badly on my left foot. I heard a crunch. The doctors at the hospital x-rayed my foot, told me I had a torn ligament, and put my leg in a cast,” described Semerád.
“Now I’ll have one leg in plaster for six weeks and I’m walking on crutches. It’s obvious that I’m not able to take part in the Motorsport Games, which is a great shame,” continued Semerád, who is supposed to start in the meeting of champions at Sosnová the following weekend, but his entry is in serious doubt.
Petr Semerád added, that he plans to start in the Prague Rally Sprint, which is five weeks from now – at the very same time that his plaster should be removed.
