The new Audi RS3 LMS, with which the Italian Giacomo Ghermandi will race the entire season in the TCR Eastern European series, has been unveiled. The launch ceremony took place at the Cremona Circuit.
A day focused on engines, adrenaline, and entertainment inaugurated the 2023 racing season of Scuderia Ghermandi by Lema Racing, officially presented in the presence of sponsors, press, and fans at the Cremona Circuit. The unveiled colorful Audi RS3 LMS will face new challenges in the six-round championship, starting from the weekend of 8th–9th April at Oschersleben.
After last year’s positive experience in TCR Europe, concluding with the third place overall in the ‚Diamond Trophy‘ and the presence at the FIA Motorsport Games, Ghermandi aims to take another step in his career, seeking to play an important role in the TCR Eastern Europe with technical support from the Lema Racing team.
„I’m really happy to face this new season,“ says Ghermandi, „and I can’t wait for the moment of the first start of the season to arrive! This year we have chosen the TCR Eastern Europe as our main program for various reasons: it is, in fact, a competition that has grown a lot in terms of level over the last few years, to the point that we will face very high-profile opponents who will make the challenge uncertain and exciting. Furthermore, it is the most important series on a continental level after TCR Europe and will also have significant importance in terms of ranking, without forgetting that it will allow us to compete on demanding tracks and where there will be a large number of fans,“ says Ghermandi, who will also participate in certain rounds of TCR Europe and TCR Italy.
