Milan Vuković – Renault Megane TCR (Vukovic Motorsport) – 1st place
I’m very happy. At the beginning, I was struggling a lot with the temperature of the rear tires. I was sliding a lot, especially in the first turn right after the start. Only after three or four laps, it was okay, and I had a nice fight with René, but I managed to keep him behind. This weekend, we are benefiting from the compensation weight. Let’s see how it will be in the next round with full weight ballast. But for now, I’m enjoying the result and being on the podium with my dad. It’s unbelievable.
Rene Kircher – Honda Civic TCR FK7 (Mertel Motorsport) – 2nd place
I’m quite happy with the results. I have scored a good amount of points for the championship, and the team did a very good job. Unfortunately, I couldn’t overtake Milan, as the Renaults are so fast on the straights. My Honda is a great car, but with the current BoP, the Renaults are simply too fast at the Red Bull Ring.

After the start at the first turn, I was unfortunately hit by Davit Kajaia and lost one position. I found myself driving in fourth place behind Maťo Homola, but in the second lap, I got a very nice slipstream from him. Although he protected the inside line into the second corner, I had a different plan. I stayed in the ideal line, used a better exit from the turn, and overtook him on the straight. After that, I drove in third position, all the while thinking about my son’s lead. To be honest, it was hard to maintain my concentration.
