Bartosz Groszek clinched the TCR Eastern Europe title last season and moved on. However, an opportunity for a one-off event has arisen, and he will be back in the championship for the final event at Automotodrom Brno.

Bartosz Groszek joined the Aditis Racing team in 2021 and has since developed a strong connection with the Czech team. This season, he has been sharing driving duties with team owner Radim Adámek in Endurance races in the ESET Cup, driving the Audi RS3 LMS TCR. Now, we will see him on the grid of TCR Eastern Europe.

„Originally, the plan was to participate in another endurance race, but due to the low number of cars on the grid, we decided to let it go,“ says Groszek, explaining how the deal to race in TCR Eastern Europe came about. „Then I received an offer from Radim that I couldn’t refuse, and I decided to return to TCR Eastern Europe. I want to thank him for that.“

Groszek is an exceptionally fast touring car driver, winning races in his debut season in 2021 and, of course, in his championship-winning year of 2022. However, it will be exactly one year since his last competition in the TCR series. Will he be nervous? Definitely not. „The grid is very strong this year, but I know that I won this championship last year, and it will definitely give me confidence on the grid.“

When we asked him what result would satisfy him, he didn’t hesitate to aim for the top spots. „I definitely have my sights set on winning one of the races, and my minimum goal is a podium finish. The title has already been secured by Mat’o, but others are battling for the remaining podium places, so the competition will be fierce. I can’t wait to get back on the TCR EE grid.“

Bartosz Groszek will be driving the 2021 specification of the Audi RS3, a car he has become very familiar with during the endurance races. The same type of car will also be driven by Radim Adámek, who has competed throughout the season in TCR Eastern Europe.
