René Kircher – Honda Civic TCR FK7 (Mertel Motorsport) – 1st place
I had a great start, overtaking Petr Fulín Jr. directly and then managed to pass Žarko Knego in the second turn. From there, it was all about maintaining my flow in the race. The team did an excellent job, and the Honda was perfectly prepared. It was a very enjoyable race, and it feels great to end the season with a victory. When I saw a significant gap behind me, I could manage the front tires nicely and push even harder in the late stages of the race than in the middle.
Adam Kout – Hyundai Elantra N TCR (Hyundai Janík Motorsport) – 2nd place
I regret the start of the race a bit, as I chose not ideal line in the first turn, losing a couple of positions. There were also a few contacts during that phase. Although it’s not easy to overtake here at Brno, I managed to pass my opponents and eventually secure second place. René Kircher was too far ahead in the lead. Honestly, if someone had told me before the season that I would achieve several podium finishes, including a win, and finish third in the drivers‘ standings, I wouldn’t have believed them. I’m extremely happy, and I hope we can continue this great momentum into the next season.
Žarko Knego – Hyundai Elantra N TCR (Auto Klub Dubrovnik) – 3rd place
It was a pretty difficult race for me. I started in second place and moved into the lead, but I had a few slides and lost the position to René Kircher. Then I had a fair fight with Adam Kout, but he eventually passed me. However, I was able to hold onto third place ahead of Carlo Czepiel, and I’m very satisfied with the race. Finally, I had a good pace. I found myself looking more at the rearview mirror than at the track in front of me because Kircher was far ahead, and the Hyundai drivers were very fast and competitive. So I’m finally standing on the podium, which I have come close to in the past, especially at Grobnik, but technical issues prevented it from happening.
