Bartosz Groszek is returning to TCR Eastern Europe, where he won the drivers‘ championship in the 2022 season. He will be back with the Aditis Racing team, with which he achieved this highlight of his career. As he looks forward to his return, he shared some thoughts with us.

Groszek won the championship in 2022 driving an Audi RS3 TCR, and he will again compete in this car, albeit in a newer specification. He also participated in the penultimate round of TCR Eastern Europe last year in Brno, an event combined with the TCR Europe championship.

“TCR Eastern Europe has always been close to my heart, and when the opportunity arose to return to racing, I didn’t hesitate for long. After the 2022 season, my budget was more focused on my company and family, which is why I skipped the last two seasons, though I was always happy to participate in one-off events,” explained the Polish driver, who has been part of Aditis Racing since the beginning of his racing career in 2021.

“Our relationship with Aditis Racing has been very strong from the start, and I feel like it’s my second family. Since last year, I’ve been helping with the development of both our TCR cars and the new Porsche GT3 Cup project.”

TCR Eastern Europe features tight competition, but Groszek and Aditis Racing have high expectations for this year’s results. “My main goal this season is to help the team win the championship. That’s the reason I came back. Of course, I won’t give up competing for the drivers‘ title either—I would love to reclaim it after Mato Homola won it twice,” Groszek shared about his objectives.

He will have a very fast teammate this season, Martin Kadlečík, who stepped up to TCR Eastern Europe last year in a part-time program and secured several podium finishes with Aditis Racing. This means the team will have a strong lineup.

“That’s what motivated me to come back. When Radim [Adámek, team owner] told me that Martin would do a full season, I was more than happy to team up with him. He is young and fast, and he reminds me of myself four years ago when I was transitioning from sim racing to real cars. I have a bit more experience with these cars, and I’m always glad to give him advice if needed. I appreciate how clearly Martin communicates about adjustments he wants to make the car faster.”

The 2025 calendar includes two new tracks compared to the 2022 season when Groszek secured his championship title. “I did some laps last year at Balaton, but I’ve never driven at Salzburgring before. It’s the type of track where you either win or crash. I hope to achieve the first one,” Groszek concluded with a smile.
