TCR Eastern Europe season 2021 included twelve races on six circuits. During the year, six drivers showed smiles on the highest place on the podium. Who took the winning trophies most often?
Currently reigning champion Michal Makeš from the Mičánek Motorsport team won three races, which does not place him on the top of the winners table. His biggest championship rival Tomáš Pekař from Carpek Racing is the man who listened the national anthem most often. Pekař won four races, including two wins at the inaugural event at the Hungaroring.
In the final ranking of the 2021 season, Carol Wittke finished in third place. He also enjoyed the sweet feeling of victory, in two cases. Other winners in TCR Eastern Europe are Bartosz Groszek, Jonas Karklys and 2019 TCR Easter Europe champion Milovan Vesnič.
In terms of brands, the Seat Cupra TCR, with which Makeš, Pekař and Wittke raced, had an absolute advantage. The Spanish manufacturer won nine times. Audi won twice thanks to Bartosz Groszek and Milovan Vesnič. The Hyundai brand, which dominated all races in 2020, scored its only victory in the 2021 season thanks to Jonas Karklys.
