Vuković Motorsport gears up for the new TCR Eastern Europe season with two Renault Mégane TCR cars. The team boss, Milenko Vuković, and his son Milan, who started racing in touring cars last year, will be behind the wheels. Additionally, there will be a third car ready for racing.
Vuković Motorsport entered last TCR Eastern Europe season with Milenko Vuković behind the wheel of the green-white Mégane. The car was fast from the beginning, and Vuković fought for podium finishes in every race, scoring one victory during the opening stage of the season.
“This year I will drive again with the same Mégane I drove last year. The second car will be driven by my son Milan. Over the winter, we built a new car for him to compete this season. We also have a third car for selected events,” says Milenko, ready for new challenges and a better car than last year.
“We have developed a paddle-shift system and a new rear suspension, with the main focus on making the car easier to drive, and therefore more consistent,” continues Milenko, who is certain that last year’s technical issues are gone, and the cars will run like clockwork.
“We were a bit unlucky last year, but over the winter, we carefully analysed every part of the car and made a few key changes to improve reliability,” added Milenko.
So what are the team’s goals? Milenko Vuković is always humble about his goals and results, but he always aims for the best finish. Milan Vuković’s season will be focused on learning the grip behind the wheel of a fast touring car: “I don’t have any concrete goals for this year. Last year was my first-ever season in motorsport in the Twingo Cup. To jump into a TCR, coming from the Twingo, will be a difficult task, but I am confident that we will get good results right from the start,” says Milan Vuković.
