Adam Kout is set to begin his third season in TCR Eastern Europe. Staying with the Hyundai Janík Motorsport team, he will once again compete in a Hyundai Elantra and for the 2025 season, there is one ultimate goal in sight: the championship title.
Adam Kout is preparing hard and, in his own words, can’t wait for the first race weekend. The new season kicks off in April at the Red Bull Ring, where he battled for victory until the final laps in 2024.
In the previous two seasons, Adam Kout finished third and second in the overall driver standings. “Yes, the goal this year is definitely to win the TCR Eastern Europe championship. It’s a natural progression,” Kout responds when asked if he has the highest ambitions for 2025.
However, he is not underestimating the preparation for the new season and knows exactly which areas need improvement. “I think I need to improve in all aspects if I want to achieve this. For example, my starts last season weren’t always ideal, so there’s definitely room for improvement there.”
Touring car racing is very much a contact sport, where success depends on consistency, killer instincts and fighting spirit. So, what will Kout’s strategy be? “All approaches are important and the key is to find the right balance between them because, at the end of the season, it’s the points that determine the overall standings.”
Adam Kout also represented the Czech Republic at last year’s FIA Motorsport Games in Valencia, where he achieved an impressive result by earning a bronze medal.
“The Motorsport Games were a very interesting experience. Since it was a single race weekend, the approach was quite different — the result in the Sunday final was crucial, and everything had to be adapted to that. We raced on Pirelli tires, which required a different driving style, and with partially prescribed car settings. Combined with limited testing, it wasn’t an easy situation. But I think the bronze medal shows that our team did an excellent job and that we belong at such a high level of competition.”
While the FIA Motorsport Games focused on just one race weekend, the TCR Eastern Europe season will feature six race weekends, filled with popular circuits, competitive drivers, and fierce battles. “I rate the TCR Eastern Europe series very highly. I think this was evident during last year’s joint race with TCR Europe, where we proved to be competitive rivals. I really appreciate the work that Mr. Josef Křenek does, not only for TCR Eastern Europe, and I’d like to thank him for that. It’s also great that the race weekends are relatively close, so our friends and fans can come to support us.”
