Dušan Kouřil Jr. will be racing with Hyundai i30 N TCR of Janík Motorsport in the upcoming season. The Czech driver is also getting support from the Autoclub of the Czech Republic.
The last season saw Kouřil’s debut with TCR cars and he did quite well. The Czech driver took two victories and finished in the 3rd place overall with 109 points, only behind the last year’s champion Milovan Vesnič and Jáchym Galáš.

And the 17-year-old is expected to fight for the podium this season as well. Again, he will be racing with Hyundai i30 N TCR, but not with K2 Engineering team anymore as he makes a switch to Janík Motorsport. Also, he is going to be supported by the Autoclub of the Czech Republic and its ACCR Czech Talent Team.
“I’m really delighted to be part of the ACCR Czech Talent team. With a TCR car, I have an opportunity to showcase my touring car skills on racing circuits against international competition. For a driver of my age, it’s incredibly important to feel such support, to have some help from experienced racing drivers and to have a big team behind me, to show me the right path to succeed in Motorsport. There is a lot of work ahead of us, I have a lot to learn and I believe, that together we can get some good results and find a way how to be even faster with Hyundai TCR,” said Kouřil.

The Autoclub of the Czech Republic has already proven that with Filip Mareš in rally, who won the Junior European Championship last year. In this season, we will have the same opportunity in the circuit racing. With very skilled Dušan Kouřil, who has become this project’s ambassador, we want to continue this successful path of ACCR Czech Talent team, started by Filip Mareš,” said Janík Motorsport’s team owner Václav Janík.
But it won’t be just our championship for Dušan Kouřil Jr. with Janík Motorsport as this combination could also enter some TCR Europe event.
