Michal Makeš dominates in Poznan so far. He admits it´s a surprise for him.
The third round of 2021 TCR Eastern Europe season in Poznan, Poland was one man show untill this moment. That man was Michal Makeš. The Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra driver was fastest both in free practice and in qualifying on Friday. He stayed on a winning wave also on Saturday, where he dominated in Race 1. After the race, he said his performance in Poznan is surprise for him.
„I´m really surprised by that. I´m here for the very first time, I didn´t even go there with Clio. So I didn´t know what to expect before the weekend. But I set a very good lap already in qualifying. It was beyond my maximum. Ideal lap times showed I could be better only by one tenth at most. I´m very happy with today´s result. I´m really satisfied,“ says Makeš.
Makeš decreased the overall lead of Tomáš Pekař to ten points by today´s victory. On Sunday´s Race 2, he will start from 8th place.
