The combined race of the TCR Eastern Europe and TCR Europe championships delivered a great spectacle for the crowd in the grandstands, with more than 22 cars on the grid. Although the drivers shared the track, the classifications for both championships were separate, and Maťo Homola secured another Saturday victory this season.
Homola, from the Hyundai Janík Motorsport team, started from fourth place, with Martin Kadlečík from Aditis Racing in fifth, and Adam Kout in sixth. Homola quickly moved up to third overall, behind TCR Europe drivers Aurélien Comte and race leader Franco Girolami.
Following TCR Eastern Europe leader Homola were Martin Kadlečík, Adam Kout, Davit Kajaia, Žarko Knego, Jiří Zbožínek, Fraňo Dubreta, Petr Čížek, René Kirscher, Ivars Vallers, Vít Smejkal, and Jorden Dolischka.
Kadlečík and Kout managed to overtake Ignacio Montenegro from the TCR Europe series, though this didn’t affect their standings in the TCR Eastern Europe classification.
The race was fairly calm, but towards the end, the battles on track became more intense. Viktor Davidovski from TCR Europe was spun by another car in the stadium section, prompting yellow flags. However, Davidovski managed to continue without the need for a safety car.
Franco Girolami crossed the finish line in first, followed by Aurélien Comte, both from the TCR Europe series. Maťo Homola finished third overall, claiming victory in the TCR Eastern Europe race. Behind Homola in the TCR Eastern Europe classification was Martin Kadlečík, who returned to the wheel of the Audi RS3 TCR, finishing second. Adam Kout came third. Davit Kajaia from Mertel Motorsport took fourth place, with Jiří Zbožínek from Hyundai Janík Motorsport in fifth. Žarko Knego finished sixth, followed by Petr Čížek, René Kirscher, Ivars Vallers, and Fraňo Dubreta, who rounded out the top ten.
