Tomáš Pekař achieved his fourth victory in TCR Eastern Europe at Slovakiaring. By doing so, he equalized Milovan Vesnić in the number of victories in TCR Eastern Europe tables of all times. He is sharing 2nd place with him now.
After he won both races in the opening round at Hungaroring, Tomáš Pekař became the third most successful driver in TCR Eastern Europe history in terms of victories. At Slovakiaring, he triumphed in Race 2 and achieved his 4th victory in this championship. It means another move up in this statistic.
He equalized Milovan Vesnić in amounts of race victories by that. Now, he is sharing 2nd place with the Serbian driver in table of all times. Both drivers are four victories behind Dušan Borković, who won all eight races on his way to the championship title last year and he is still holding the record. But eight races are still remaining to the end of the season. So it will be interesting to watch if someone will be able to pass him.
Except for Borković, Vesnić and Pekař, another four drivers were able to won race in TCR Eastern Europe history. They are Jáchym Galáš (2 victories), Dušan Kouřil jr. (2 victories), Martin Ryba (1 victory) and Michal Makeš (1 victory). Makeš took his premiere victory in TCR Eastern Europe in Race 1 at Slovakiaring.
The 2021 season will continue from 11th to 13th June in Poland, Poznan. The series will race there for the first time. We will see if some new TCR Eastern Europe race winner will born. In previous races, Lukasz Stolarczyk, Sebastian Steibel or Carol Wittke showed the potential to fight for top positions.
