After two rounds of 2021 season, Tomáš Pekař is in the championship lead. Michal Makeš is second with loss of 17 points. The ESET Race Star supported driver Sebastian Steibel progressed to third place in the championship standings.
Tomáš Pekař is in the best position after two rounds. The TCR Eastern Europe returnee is experiencing a great comeback to the series so far. He won three from four races so far and is on the first place of the championship standings with 93 points.
Michal Makeš from Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra team is holding second place. He is only driver who defeated Pekař this season. In Race 1 at Slovakiaring, he took advantage from Pekař´s mistake and clinched his premiere victory in TCR Eastern Europe. He collected 76 points in first two rounds and is 17 points behind Pekař.
Sebastian Steibel is rookie in TCR Eastern Europe this season. But it is not visible on results of German driver, who races with support of ESET Race Star project for talented drivers. After 7th place and 5th position in races at Hungaroring, he finished second in both races at Slovakiaring and is third in overall standings with 52 points now.
The first ever TCR Eastern Europe champion and last year´s vice champion Milovan Vesnić had a difficult start to the new campaign. He achieved podium result only in Race 1 at Hungaroring, where he was third. He is fourth in the championship now. Carol Wittke, who scored his first podium result in Race 1 at Slovakiaring, is fifth. The second best driver from Race 2 at Hungaroring Lukasz Stolarczyk is sixth, Tomasz Rzepecki is seventh, Giacomo Ghermandi is eighth, Miro Horňák is ninth and Dávid Němček completes TOP 10. Horňák and Němček represented ESET Race Star project at Slovakiaring.
The 2021 season continues in Poznan, Poland from 11th to 13th of June. It will be first ever TCR Eastern Europe appearance at this circuit.
