The preparations for the 2025 TCR Eastern Europe season are in full swing, and the calendar has now been finalized. Fans, drivers and teams can look forward to an exciting six-round championship at some most iconic racing circuits in Central Europe.
A notable change in the 2025 calendar is the addition of Balaton Park, which will host the season finale. This decision follows recent revisions to the TCR Europe calendar, which made the originally planned joint races with TCR Europe, including Monza, impossible.
“There has been a significant change in the TCR Europe calendar for the next year,” said Josef Křenek, promoter of TCR Eastern Europe. “Although we were excited about the prospect of hosting three joint events with TCR Europe, as we did in Brno in 2024, these plans had to be adjusted. We fully respect this decision and are now focusing on delivering an exceptional six-round TCR Eastern Europe championship. This includes returning to the new Balaton Park as final race of the season.”
The race weekend format remains unchanged. Drivers will have 30 minutes of free practice, 20 minutes of qualifying, and two 25-minute races. For the second race, grid positions for the top finishers from the first race will be reversed, according to the lot after the finish of Race 1.
As in previous years, the championship will feature overall classifications for drivers and teams, along with specialized trophies. These include the TCR Eastern Europe Trophy for Gen1 and DSG cars, the Junior Trophy, and the Women’s Trophy, ensuring that diverse talent continues to be showcased. Kumho Tire also remains the official tyre supplier for the series.
