On Tuesday, the second round of virtual TCR Eastern Europe Simracing will take place at Red Bull Ring. Bartosz Groszek will enter this event as the championship leader (90 points) ahead of the second Miklas Born (66 points) and the third Petr Fulín (54 points).
Two weeks after the premiere round at Hungaroring, another battle awaits the starting field of TCR Eastern Europe Simracing. Its venue will be Red Bull Ring, Austria.
Before the races in the scene of Austrian Formula One Grand Prix, Bartosz Groszek is in the best position. The BTC Maszyny Racing driver had a literally dreamy start to the season at Hungaroring. He finished first in qualifying and also in both races. He scored the maximum number of points – 90.
But it will not easy to repeat such results for him now, because we can find many drivers who are hungry for success in the starting field. Miklas Born is one of them. The Team Autorama AG by Wolf-Power scored 66 points for third and fourth places at Hungaroring and now is the second in the championship. The Swiss also leads the junior standings.
But we have to also count on three-time European touring car champion Petr Fulín. He also entered the season in a good way. In the first Hungarian race, it was only ninth place for him. But he could celebrate a silver success in Race 2. These results meant 54 points for him and he is sitting on the overall third position.
But the opening round showed us that it is also worth watching Balint Hatvani and Keijo Keke Platzer who also achieved podium results at Hungaroring two weeks ago. However, the junior trio Jáchym Galáš, Tomáš Korený and Matěj Kácovský, who had a good pace during the first event, will certainly not want to stay behind. In addition, Galáš already proved he can be fast at Red Bull Ring. The GT2 Motorsport driver was second in Race 1 of last year´s TCR Eastern Europe real event.
Groszek dominated at virtual Hungaroring
But Tomáš Pekař and Jakub Wyszomirski also shone during last year´s real TCR Eastern Europe races at the circuit in Styria. While the former achieved victory in Race 2 of that weekend, the Pole gained bronze in Race 1.
The action will start at 21.00 CEST. You can watch live stream on official YouTube channel of TCR and also on social media.
