The revised calendar for the upcoming season of the TCR Eastern Europe series has been published, including the addition of the new Hungarian circuit Balaton Park.
The calendar consists of six rounds as usual, featuring well-known circuits from the past. However, there have been a few changes in the destinations. The opening round of the TCR Eastern Europe season will be hosted at the end of April at the brand new Balaton Park circuit near the famous Hungarian lake.
The following race event will take place at the famous Formula 1 track, Red Bull Ring, in May. It is the favorite destination for most drivers in the field. For the third round in June, the series will move to Hungary again, but this time to F1 track Hungaroring.
After the summer break, Autodrom Most will welcome TCR cars at the beginning of August, and in the same month, the championship will move to Slovakia Ring. The grand finale will be held at Automotodrom Brno in September.
TCR Eastern Europe will be accompanied by the Clio Cup in every race weekend and, in most cases, also by the ESET Cup and F4 CEZ series. Efforts are being made to establish fixed start times for the main series of the ESET Cup and TCR Eastern Europe on each race weekend, considering the live broadcasts of individual races. The TCR series is expected to run on Sundays before the midday break, while the ESET Cup will take place after the break. Another novelty is the addition of the FIA Swift Cup Europe series to most race events.
