TCR Eastern Europe will be back in the action this weekend. The second round of 2021 season is on the schedule at Slovakiaring. We will see the known names, but also new faces.
Tomáš Pekař will arrive to Slovakia as a championship leader. He was absolutely dominant in the opening round of the season at Hungaroring. Now, he will try to stay on a winning streak.
But it will definitely not be an easy weekend for Pekař. Except for him, we can find more great drivers in the starting list. We have to reckon also with Michal Makeš, the second driver in the championship standings, and with Milovan Vesnić, the 2019 TCR Eastern Europe champion and the 2020 vice-champion. In addition, Lukasz Stolarczyk showed he is also able to fight for the top positions.
Giacomo Ghermandi, Tomasz Rzepecki and the ESET Race Star supported driver Sebastian Steibel had TCR Eastern Europe debuts rich in points at Hungaroring and they would like to continue this way at Slovakiaring. Sanel Cehic will go for his first points. Petr Čížek, Carol Wittke, Radim Adámek and Žarko Knego will aim to take advantage from their large experience in TCR Eastern Europe.
We will see two brand new faces in TCR Eastern Europe at Slovakiaring. It will be two local drivers – Dávid Němček and the experienced Slovakian driver Miro Horňák. Němček will race with Cupra Leon TCR car of ARC Bratislava. Horňák will sit behind the wheel of Audi RS 3 LMS TCR car and will defend the colours of Horňák-Aditis. Němček and Horňák will race with the support of ESET Race Star project, as Sebastian Steibel.
