Lukasz Stolarczyk changed the car for 2021 TCR Eastern Europe season. Instead of Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR car, he will race with Audi RS 3 LMS TCR car this year. And his target is to fight for the top positions.
Last year, Lukasz Stolarczyk made his debut season in TCR Eastern Europe. He raced for his own team BTC Maszyny Racing with Volkswagen Golf GTI TCR car. But he changed the car for this season and we will see him with Audi RS 3 LMS TCR. And he want to fight for the highest positions with new technique.
„We want to fight at the top. I don´t know if it will be possible already at Hungaroring, beacuse we don´t have enough possibilities to test the car due to lockdown in Poland. But for sure, our target for this year is to fight with the fastest,“ says the Polish driver.
Although Stolarczyk didn´t test with the new car so much, he already have a chance to try that. So he can compare Volkswagen and Audi: „It´s a very similar in handling, a bit slower in slow corners and more stable in fast corners. The difference is not that big, but you can feel it. Acceleration and breaking are the same. There are some small differences in a general execution of the car. Audi is more polished, because this project was developed on a Seat and VW experience as a last one in Volkswagen Group,“ he added.
Last season, Stolarczyk collected 21 points and finished 12th in overall standings. He achieved his best result in Race 1 at Hungaroring, where he was 5th.
