René Kircher – Honda Civic TCR FK7 (Mertel Motorsport) – 1st place
It’s a perfect result. I would say it was a nearly perfect lap. The car was great, and the team did a very good job. I didn’t think I would be able to beat Homola at his home track, but I did it by two tenths of a second, and it’s a great feeling. Now the plan is the same as always: have a good start, stay in the lead, manage the pace, and win.
Maťo Homola – Hyundai Elantra N TCR (Hyundai Janík Motorsport) – 2nd place
I’m satisfied with the results. We didn’t know the pace of the rest of the field, but now we are very close to our main opponent in the championship, Mertel Motorsport. Unfortunately, I hit the whole front bumper that was lying on the track in the second fast corner. From that moment, the car didn’t turn well, and I guess the geometry of the car was in bad shape. On the other hand, we are in the first row, and it’s important.
Carlo Czepiel – Hyundai Elantra N TCR (Hyundai Janík Motorsport) – 3rd place
The car was really good, and we tested every car setup during the training sessions. I like the track; the first part is very fast, and the second part is very technical with many corners. So, I’m very satisfied with the third place in the qualifying, and now let’s go racing!
