Maťo Homola – Hyundai Elantra N TCR (Hyundai Janík Motorsport) – 1st place
The opening laps were very interesting because some parts of the track were wet, while others were nearly dry. For me, the most crucial aspect was the start. As we’ve seen this season, I sometimes struggle with getting off the spot, but this time it was flawless. I wasn’t planning to pass Kircher where I did, but he made a mistake, and I seized the opportunity. From then on, I focused on building a comfortable gap, avoiding mistakes, and bringing the car home in first place.
René Kircher – Honda Civic TCR FK7 (Mertel Motorsport) – 2nd place
I had an amazing start, as always, thanks to the Honda’s excellent starting capabilities. I managed to hold onto the lead, but unfortunately made a small mistake in the wet part of the track, which allowed Homola to overtake me. He was incredibly fast in the opening laps, but nonetheless, finishing in second place is a great result for me in terms of the championship and junior classification. Overall, I’m quite happy with the outcome.
Davit Kajaia – Honda Civic TCR FK7 (Mertel Motorsport) – 3rd place
The start was quite tricky due to the mixed track conditions, with some parts dry and others wet, causing the car to slide quite a bit. However, I managed to find some dry spots and somehow kept the car on the track. The key to finishing in third place was my start. Even in second and third gear, my tires were spinning, but I eventually found the grip, and everything worked out well. Overall, I’m pleased with today’s result.
