Davit Kajaia – Honda Civic TCR FK7 (Mertel Motorsport) – 1st place
When the safety car came out and the gap between Sebastian and me disappeared, I was worried about the speed of his Audi. The fight with Sebastian in the closing stage of the race was really tight and spectacular. His Audi was very fast on the straights, and I was lacking speed, so he was catching up to me all the way, thanks to the character of the Red Bull Ring. However, I was able to brake late and accelerate earlier from the corners, and it finally worked out for me.

I had a really good start and moved up to P2, creating a gap behind me. When the safety car came out, I thought it was not good, but after the restart, we had a really good fight together with Davit. He drove a very defensive line out of the third corner, which was my best chance, and I tried all the options there, but nothing worked. I wish I could have passed him, but second place is also a great result.
Maťo Homola – Hyundai Elantra N TCR (Hyundai Janík Motorsport) – 3rd place
I’m happy with the results in these circumstances, where we had 40 kilos of ballast and lacked top speed. I knew I had to have a great start, which I didn’t, but thanks to the mistakes of opponents in front of me in the first few corners, I was able to move up. When I saw the tight racing and contacts in front of me, I drove carefully, knowing that something would eventually happen. It did, and I moved up to third place, which is a great result and very important in terms of championship points.
