Adam Kout – Hyundai Elantra N TCR (Hyundai Janík Motorsport) – 1st place
It’s a great result, and I’m glad it finally happened. To be honest, I don’t have words for it. It’s great timing for my win in these hard conditions. The fight with Giacomo was as hard as always, but I’m happy I managed to pass him soon and create a gap, which really helped me in the race. Although there was later contact with Petr Fulín, the car worked fine after that, and I have to thank the whole team as they prepared the car very well.
Maťo Homola – Hyundai Elantra N TCR (Hyundai Janík Motorsport) – 2nd place
I was very cautious, I didn’t want to risk anything in the fight. I expected something to happen in front of me, but everything was fine. I didn’t fight with Petr Fulín, as I knew he was faster. On the other hand, I had to pass Ghermandi because he was slower than me. He defended very hard, but I surprised him in the middle part of the circuit and went through. Anyway, I’m very happy with the results and winning the championship. I have to thank all the team members of Hyundai Janík Motorsport for their work throughout the season.
Giacomo Ghermandi – Audi RS3 LMS TCR 2021 (Scuderia Ghermandi by Lema Racing) – 3rd place
I’m very happy with the third place. I had hoped for better pace, because in the opening laps, I felt we could win the race. However, when I saw the Elantra cars behind me, I noticed they were better in the middle part of the circuit, and I didn’t have good traction. So, it wasn’t possible for me to keep Kout and Homola behind me. But a third-place finish is a great result for me and the team.
