Giacomo Ghermandi started racing in 2020 with Cupra TCR.

He took part in TCR Eastern Europe 2021, 2023 and 2024. Scoring the 2nd place in the end of the 2024 season, he was waiting for a victory for a long time.

He experienced a bad luck a few times, being penalized after race win or getting the puncture when leading the race.

At the beginning of 2025, his waiting was finally over. He won the second race of the opening round at the Red Bull Ring.
