The Hungaroring is a 4.381 km racetrack located in Mogyoród, near Budapest. In 1986, it became the venue of the first Formula One Grand Prix held behind the Iron Curtain. Construction began on 1 October 1985 and was completed in just eight months, less time than any other Formula One circuit.
Since then, the Hungaroring has hosted Formula One every season, and in the past two years, the facility has undergone major reconstruction, transforming it into a modern race track.
