Carol Wittke clinched another podium result during the penultimate round at Slovakiaring and is third in the championship standings before the final round at Automotodrom Brno. But the Fullinrace Academy knows it will be difficult to stay on the bronze position.

You achieved another podium result at Slovakiaring. You finished third in Race 1. You are third in the overall championship standings now. So what are your impressions after Slovakiaring?

I had extra weight of 60 kilograms at Slovakiaring and I felt the weight very much this weekend. Unfortunately, I didn´t have an optimal lap in qualifying and I didn´t have good starting position. But we found a good set-up for the race and we managed the tyres well so the results were okay.

You scored podium result at Slovakiaring already during the round in May. You finished third in Race 1. So can we deduce from it that Slovakiaring is your favorite circuit?

I don´t have any favorite tracks. Every track has a special character and every track is a challenge. But of course, Slovakiaring has everything what good track needs. It´s also fun circuit.

You showed a big improvement this season. In 2019 and in 2020, you didn´t score podium. But this year, you took already four podium results so far. So what is the main reason of this improvement according to you?

We worked hard on the set-up and went in new ways. Of course, the new Cupra also helps. My problem was that I didn´t test much in 2019 and in 2020. Actually, I only came to the race weekends.

What are your targets for Brno?

The time between Slovakiaring and Brno is very short. We had major damage on both cars and we have to repair everything quickly now. Our team is working hard to get both cars ready. My goals for Brno are to get back on the podium and to stay third in the championship. It will be very difficult because we have very fast drivers.
