Vesnić took pole position for Race 1 and equalized record in number of qualifying victories

Milovan Vesnić started the second half of the 2021 TCR Eastern Europe season in a best possible way. The Serbian set the fastest time in qualifying and equalized the record of Dušan Borković in number of qualifying victories in TCR Eastern Europe history.

Milovan Vesnić was best in TCR Eastern Europe qualifying at Automotodrom Grobnik. The Serbian driver, who races with Audi RS3 LMS TCR car, set the time 1:29,409. It´s his second pole position from 2021 TCR Eastern Europe season. He achieved the first one at Slovakiaring. At the same time, he equalized the record of qualifying victories in TCR Eastern Europe. Now, he is sharing the lead with last year champion Dušan Borković. Both drivers have four qualifying victories.

After victory in Free Practice, Carol Wittke stayed in a good shape also for qualifying. The German driver set the time 1:29,493. It means he will share front row with Vesnić in Race 1 and the Fullinrace Academy driver will start from second place.

Bartosz Groszek won race already during his TCR Eastern Europe premiere in Poznan last month. For this weekend, he got another chance. The Polish driver again starts with the support of ESET Race Star in the colours of Horňák-Aditis team. And qualifying showed he will be again in fight for top positions. He was third in qualifying with 1:29,922 time.

Lukasz Stolarczyk took fourth place. Tomáš Pekař was fifth. Despite that, Carpek Service driver had a reason to be happy after qualifying. He defeated his biggest rival in fight for the title Michal Makeš. The Mičánek Motorsport powered by Buggyra driver was sixth in qualifying. The seventh Petr Čížek, the eighth ESET Race Star driver Sebastian Steibel, the ninth Žarko Knego, who races at his home circuit, and the tenth Giacomo Ghermandi also finished qualifying in TOP 10.
