Milovan Vesnić has a chance to become the new TCR Eastern Europe record holder in number of qualifying victories. He is only one victory behind his countryman Dušan Borković.

The second half of 2021 TCR Eastern Europe season will start with the fourth round of the season in Grobnik, Croatia. We can look forward to the thrilling battle for the championship title in the remainder of the season. Michal Makeš leads the standings only by nine points ahead of second Tomáš Pekař. But except for championship fight, we will have an opportunity to follow some record attacks, for example.

One of the statistics where we could see breaking of record, is statistic in number of qualifying victories. Now, Dušan Borković has the most qualifying triumphs on his account. The 2020 champion won all from four qualifyings in his championship season and he leads this statistic with four qualifying victories. But his countryman and the first ever TCR Eastern Europe champion Milovan Vesnić is very close to breaking this record.

Vesnić won three TCR Eastern Europe qualifyings so far. He achieved first two victories during 2019 season where he won title. The first won came at Red Bull Ring and second at Slovakiaring. He was the fastest qualifier at Slovakiaring this year again and noticed his third qualifying victory in TCR Eastern Europe there. So he is only one victory behind Borković and he can add three qualifying victories at the most in the remainder of this season. It means he could be able to pass Borković in this statistic.

But we have also two drivers on grid who have the chance to equalize this record. They are the championship leader Michal Makeš and the second man of current championship standings Tomáš Pekař. Both drivers won one qualifying session in TCR Eastern Europe so far. Pekař was best in qualifying at Hungaroring this year. Makeš was fastest in Poznan. So if one of these drivers win all remaining qualifyings of this season, he would equalize Borković.

Except for Pekař and Makeš, the TCR Eastern Europe history knows also two other qualifying winners. They are current TCR Europe drivers Martin Ryba and Jáchym Galáš. Ryba has one qualifying victory (Hungaroring 2019) as Pekař and Makeš. Jáchym Galáš won qualifying twice (Grobnik and Brno 2019) and he is third in this statistic behind Borković and Vesnić.
