Czech driver Adam Kout enjoyed another successful outing at Salzburgring, bringing his Hyundai Elantra home to victory after leading comfortably from start to finish in Race 2.

Kout made an excellent start and prevented Martin Kadlečík from mounting an attack into the opening chicane. Once again, the entire field negotiated the first corner sequence cleanly and Kout with Kadlečík immediately pulled away from the battle behind, which featured Žarko Knego, Jiří Zbožínek and Radim Adámek.

The Hyundai Janík Motorsport driver quickly established a strong pace that Kadlečík was unable to match, allowing the gap between the two to steadily increase. Behind them, however, the fight for third place remained extremely close, with Knego and Zbožínek running nose to tail.

While the situation at the front appeared settled, drama struck the Aditis Racing camp with ten minutes remaining when Kadlečík headed for the pit lane with smoke pouring from underneath his black Audi RS 3.

Kadlečík was forced to stop with the tire puncture, leaving Kout with a clear path to victory and no immediate threat from his rivals. Behind him, the Hyundai Elantras of Knego and Zbožínek continued their fight, now for second and third places. Although Kadlečík later returned to the track after spending time in the pit lane, he rejoined in fifth position behind his team-mate Radim Adámek.

With four minutes remaining, Tomislav Jaklin, one of the National Touring Car Championship drivers competing alongside the TCR Eastern Europe field, became stranded in the gravel trap. The incident brought out the red flags and the race was ended prematurely.

Adam Kout was therefore declared the winner once again at Salzburgring. Žarko Knego secured second place, finishing just ahead of Jiří Zbožínek in third. Radim Adámek took fourth, while Martin Kadlečík was classified fifth.
