Adam Kout topped Friday’s qualifying session at the Hungaroring as the TCR Eastern Europe championship reached its final round.
The Czech driver, competing in a Hyundai Elantra, beat his main title rival Martin Kadlečík, in an Audi RS3, by 0.248 seconds. Both drivers could have improved, but a red flag in the closing minutes ended the session and denied them another chance to set a personal best.
Kout, driving for Hyundai Janík Motorsport, will start from pole alongside Aditis Racing’s Kadlečík. Kout’s team-mate Jiří Zbožínek will line up third.
