Adam Kout of the Janík Motorsport team extended his lead in the TCR Eastern Europe championship after the Slovakia Ring weekend, where he completed a double victory by winning the second race ahead of Martin Kadlečík and Bartosz Groszek.

The two front rows were locked out by Hyundais, with Luka Fabijančič and Nemanja Milovanović starting first and second, followed by Žarko Knego and Jiří Zbožínek. The third row featured Petr Čížek (Cupra) and Groszek (Audi), while Martin Kadlečík (Audi) and Saturday’s winner Kout (Hyundai) lined up on the fourth row.

Knego made a fantastic start and briefly took the lead, but Kadlečík got away even better, slotting into second and then passing Knego into Turn 3. Kout also launched well, climbing to third, and by the end of the opening lap he had overtaken Knego to chase after Kadlečík. Groszek seized the opportunity as well, passing the Croatian driver to move into fourth.

Behind the leading quartet, Zbožínek defended from Čížek, but eventually lost out to the grey Cupra. Seventh place was held by Milovanović with Ivars Vallers in eighth, Vít Smejkal ninth and Radoslav Obrtal completing the top ten.

On lap three, Kout successfully attacked Kadlečík for the lead and never looked back.

Further behind, Groszek run wide and allowed Knego to reclaim third. Groszek initially followed closely, but with ten minutes remaining he began to push hard, looking for a way past. With Čížek closing in from behind, Groszek finally found a way through, relegating Knego back to fourth.

At the flag, Kout crossed the line with a five-second margin over his championship rival Kadlečík. Groszek completed the podium, followed by Knego in fourth and Čížek in fifth. Behind them came Zbožínek, Milovanović, Smejkal, Obrtal and top ten was rounded by Fabijančič.
