Bolognese driver Giacomo Ghermandi has confirmed his participation in the upcoming TCR Eastern Europe season, where he will drive a Honda Civic Type R for the MM Motorsport team.
Ghermandi continues his involvement with MM Motorsport, a team led by Emanuele Alborghetti and Giovanna Aiello. This collaboration yielded promising results last season, including a second-place finish at Salzburgring and contention for victory.
For the driver from Emilia, this marks his third consecutive season in the TCR Eastern Europe championship, a series noted for its increasing competitiveness and visibility.
Ghermandi has established strong chemistry with the Honda Civic Type R and the MM Motorsport staff—factors that significantly influenced his decision to continue their successful partnership. The Italian team is preparing for the opening round of the six-event calendar, scheduled for April 12–13 at Austria’s Red Bull Ring.
“After a very encouraging first season that ended on a decidedly high note, it seemed natural to us to continue this journey together: I am therefore very happy to be able to be an MM Motorsport driver also in the 2025 season, in a context like TCR Eastern Europe that we know well and where we aim to be firmly in the top positions. We have understood that we have the right potential to be able to aim high, so we will try to be ready immediately to be protagonists and proudly represent Italy in this championship,” says Ghermandi
