Szymon Jablonski returns to TCR Eastern Europe this weekend in Poznan. And he feels ready for battle in front of result list. Read more in our interview.

Szymon, you will return to TCR Eastern Europe in Poznan. How are you looking forward?

I’m really looking forward to return and even though there were some financial difficulties we had to overcome, I’m very happy I will race again.

Did you follow the first two rounds of 2021 TCR Eastern Europe season? If so, what are your impressions from 2021 TCR Eastern Europe season so far?

Yes, of course. The first two rounds were very interesting and I see that the competition is going to be really tough.

What will be your ambitions for Poznan round? Last year, you achieved two podium results and finished 5th in overall standings. So do you believe you can fight for the podium or even for the victory?

Naturally, I want to win every time I step into a car. This year, I think I’m well prepared physically and mentally to fight for a podium or even to win.

If you believe you will fight for the top positions, who will be the biggest opponents for you, what do you think?

Personally, I think that it will be difficult to come up against Tomáš Pekař. He is a very good driver and knows the track much better than anyone else.

Do you think that other Polish drivers on the starting grid Lukasz Stolarczyk, Tomasz Rzepecki, Bartosz Groszek, Jakub Wyszomirski and Sebastian Kolakowski will also able to join the fight for the top positions? They will have an advantage of home circuit…

Polish drivers always have the advantage of racing at home, so I’m pretty sure that all of the guys will try to use it. But we’ll see what happens.

Except for Poznan, do you plan to start also in other rounds of 2021 TCR Eastern Europe season?

I can’t really say anything right now, because we’re still not sure about our financial position.

What are your plans for the rest of the season except for TCR Eastern Europe? You race in Polish Rallycross Championship, but do you plan also starts in any other TCR series? What about selected rounds in FIA WTCR what you planned originally?

I’m sure that I will be racing in the entire Polish Rallycross Championship but as far as any TCR starts is concerned, I can’t really say anything due to financial reasons.
