Spectators at Automotodrom Brno witnessed a brilliant overtaking move from Martin Kadlečík in the TCR Eastern Europe championship. Driving an Audi RS3, Kadlečík braked late and passed Adam Kout to claim a crucial victory in the championship battle.

Teammates Adam Kout and Jiří Zbožínek from Janík Motorsport started from the front row, with fellow teammates from Aditis Racing, Martin Kadlečík and Bartosz Groszek sharing the second row. The third row belonged to Žarko Knego from Auto Klub Dubrovník and Petr Čížek from Expres Auto Racing, followed by Ivars Vallers from LV Racing team and Vít Smejkal from Expres Auto Racing.

Kout made a strong start and held the lead. Zbožínek battled with Kadlečík for second place and managed to stay ahead, while Kadlečík, Groszek, Knego and Čížek followed closely. Behind them, Smejkal and Vallers formed a small gap.

For much of the race, the order remained unchanged and the gaps stayed tight, Kout couldn’t pull away from his pursuers, with the top six covered by less than a second.

Around the halfway point, the real fight began. Kout, Zbožínek and Kadlečík broke away from the rest of the field, and soon Kadlečík seized an opening to overtake Zbožínek and move into second place.

Kadlečík then set his sights on Kout. With five minutes remaining, he was right on Kout’s rear bumper, searching for a way through. With just two minutes to go, Kadlečík made his move into the stadium section. A slight contact followed and from there, Kadlečík pulled away from Kout and Zbožínek to secure victory.

Groszek finished fourth, Čížek fifth, Knego sixth, Smejkal seventh, and Vallers eighth.
