Radim Adámek returns as Aditis Racing gets ready for the new season

Aditis Racing was one of the top teams in last year’s TCR Eastern Europe championship, fighting for both the drivers’ and teams’ titles. The Czech squad enters the new season with the similar ambitions, fielding last year’s vice-champion Martin Kadlečík alongside driver and team owner Radim Adámek, who returns for a full campaign after a two-year absence.

Aditis Racing and its two Audi RS3 TCR cars are ready for the championship opener at Grobnik this weekend. Martin Kadlečík is set to battle for race wins and challenge for the drivers’ title, while Radim Adámek is delighted to be back in the series.

“I really missed TCR and always wanted to return to racing there. When the opportunity opened up for me to come back in the second car, I was very happy,” says Adámek, whose last full season came in 2023, followed by a single race appearance the following year.

“I’m looking forward to the races. I’ve competed at Grobnik before and the circuit suits me well. Of course, it’s a challenging track, especially if you run out of the tarmac. The circuit is built in a former quarry and there are a lot of stones in the grass alongside the track, so the car can take quite a hit,” Adámek continues. The only circuit on the calendar that remains unfamiliar to him is Salzburgring.

“I’m curious to see what it’s like there. I’ve visited the track before, but I’ve never raced there, so I’m really looking forward to it.”

Following his return to TCR Eastern Europe after two years away, Radim Adámek is not setting any specific results targets for himself. Above all, he wants to enjoy the season and support the team’s leader Martin Kadlečík. Still, he does have one clear objective, to improve his lap times at every circuit.

“I consider my biggest rival to be my previous lap times. I want to improve my personal best at every track, and if I can achieve that, it will be the first step toward being satisfied. Of course, race results are also important because we’re fighting for points in both the drivers’ and teams’ championships, and we race to achieve the best possible results.”

Radim Adámek is therefore ready to fully commit to the new TCR Eastern Europe season. At the same time, however, he points out that, as team owner, his seat is not guaranteed.

“If we discover a promising junior driver, a young racer with ambitions to compete in TCR Eastern Europe, I’ll step out of the car and give them the opportunity instead. Our plan is to work with young drivers, and if that opportunity comes along, I’ll gladly hand over the car,” Adámek adds.
