The upcoming round of the TCR Eastern Europe championship at Most circuit will welcome two newcomers from Slovakia. Radoslav Obrtal and Peter Szilagyi will compete at the Czech circuit in a Cupra Leon Competición, running under the Expres Auto Racing banner.

The Cupra Leon is a familiar machine for the Czech team Expres Auto Racing. It’s their former car, although it’s now in the hands of the Slovakian duo, who will take it to Most.

“We chose Most for our TCR Eastern Europe debut, and we’ll be sharing the car across both races. I’ll drive the first race, and Peter will take the second,” explains Radoslav Obrtal, who already knows the car well.

“I tested it in Brno and also drove it in an endurance race there last year. So it’s not completely new to me. That said, we don’t have any high expectations for the weekend. The most important thing is to bring the car home, that’s our main goal,” says Obrtal, who competed in the Abarth Cup last years and also took part in the Clio Cup at Slovakia Ring in 2024.

Technical support will be provided by Expres Auto Racing, meaning the Czech team will field three cars under its banner — for Petr Čížek, returning driver Vít Smejkal, and Obrtal with Szilagyi.

And what about the rest of the season? “We’ll see. There are races at Slovakia Ring and Brno, a track I know very well, so we’ll decide what to do next after Most,” adds Obrtal.
