The TCR Eastern Europe championship returns from its summer break this weekend for the third round of the 2026 season, held at Autodrom Most as part of the Racing Journal Speed Fest.
Spectators in the grandstands will have plenty to look forward to, with Czech drivers Martin Kadlečík from Aditis Racing and Adam Kout from Hyundai Janík Motorsport leading the championship battle. The pair fought for the title last season and have carried their rivalry into the 2026 campaign.
Kadlečík currently leads the standings with 107 points, while Kout sits close behind on 92. Kadlečík also holds a narrow advantage in race victories, having scored three wins to Kout’s two.
Between them, the two title contenders have won every race so far this season, although several other drivers have regularly joined them on the podium.
Among them is Kout’s teammate Jiří Zbožínek, who has taken his Hyundai Elantra to three third-place finishes and will once again be one of the leading contenders for a top-three result at Most.
Croatian driver Žarko Knego is another strong podium candidate. Also driving a Hyundai Elantra, Knego has collected three podium finishes this season, including two runner-up results.
Zbožínek and Knego are currently fighting for third place in the championship standings, with Zbožínek holding a seven-point advantage.
Aditis Racing will once again field two cars. Alongside championship leader Kadlečík, team owner Radim Adámek will return to the cockpit of the team’s second entry.
Completing the field is Petr Čížek, a local driver who lives only a few kilometres from Autodrom Most and regards it as his home circuit.
Čížek already has one runner-up finish to his name this season, achieved at the opening round in Grobnik. He heads to Most with high expectations, having consistently shown strong pace at the circuit and claimed numerous podium finishes there in previous seasons.
The Racing Journal Speed Fest weekend begins with free practices on Friday. TCR Eastern Europe qualifying starts at 10:40 on Saturday, followed by Race 1 at 14:35.
Race 2 is scheduled to begin at 11:35 on Sunday.
