The TCR Eastern Europe Championship has published its calendar for the 2026 season, adding Formula 1 circuit and making the Austrian race weekend even more intensive.
Preparations for the upcoming season are well underway, with several interesting updates to the calendar.
The 2026 TCR Eastern Europe season will kick off in Croatia in May. The Grobnik Circuit returns to the schedule after four years and previous races have shown that the track can deliver spectacular racing. At the end of May, the series will move to the ever-popular and ultra-fast Salzburgring, followed by Autodrom Most at the end of July. The Slovakia Ring will host the event on its traditional August date, while the season finale will take place at the newly reconstructed Hungaroring in October.
Drivers, teams and spectators can look forward to a significant change in the race format at Salzburgring, bringing even more on-track action throughout the weekend. Typically, each event consists of an official practice session, qualifying and Race 1 on Saturday, followed by Race 2 on Sunday. However, Salzburgring will feature a special format with three races. Other events on the calendar will remain unchanged, each featuring two races per weekend.
“We decided to add three races at Salzburgring to offer participants more racing time within the five-round 2026 calendar. We see it as an opportunity to make this popular event even more exciting,” said championship promoter Josef Křenek, adding: “Salzburgring always delivers spectacular racing and attracts a crowd, so adding an extra race will make the weekend experience even better for both drivers and fans.”
The overall champion of the Clio Cup Bohemia will receive fee for TCR Europe in 2027 season.
