Milovan Vesnić set the fastest time in qualifying at Slovakiaring and achieved 1st place for starting grid of Race 1 and three extra points. The championship leader Tomáš Pekař was second and Michal Makeš finished third.

It will be Milovan Vesnić who will have the best position at the start of Race 1 at Slovakiaring. The Serbian driver, who became the first TCR Eastern Europe champion ever in 2019, set the time 2:12,209 and won the qualifying. It´s his third qualifying victory in TCR Eastern Europe and the first qualifying victory since 2019 Slovakiaring round. Vesnić also scored three extra points to the championship thanks to his qualifying victory.

The championship leader Tomáš Pekař finished second and took two extra points. One extra point for third place in qualifying goes to Michal Makeš.

Petr Čížek was fourth fastest in qualifying. The local driver Miro Horňák, who races with ESET Race Star support there, did a good impression in his first TCR Eastern Europe qualifying and took 5th place. Tomasz Rzepecki was sixth, another ESET Race Star supported driver Sebastian Steibel was seventh and Carol Wittke was eighth. Dávid Němček, who makes his debut in TCR Eastern Europe this weekend as Horňák, set the ninth fastest time. Giacomo Ghermandi closed TOP 10.

At Hungaroring last month, Lukasz Stolarczyk fought for the top positions and finished second in Race 2. But it seems that Slovakiaring round will be more difficult for him. The Polish driver finished only 11th in qualifying.

Race 1 is on the schedule from 13.10 today. Race 2 with reversed starting grid will take place tomorrow from 11.45.
